Tonight Kiln On Demand had an outage lasting approximately 90 minutes. Customers experienced a number of symptoms, beginning with intermittent access to repositories, then degrading from there. While the exact details still aren't clear, there seems to have been trouble with the front-end servers connecting to the message queue, which ultimately impacted their ability to contact the back-end servers where the repositories are stored. Root cause analysis is ongoing, but for now service has been restored. There are no indications of a recurrence in progress, but we will be monitoring the situation.
