We will be deploying to FogBugz on Demand to fix some minor infrastructure issues and an issue where 'Add Breakdown' didn't work in reporting.
The deploy will begin promptly at 0300 UTC (2200 EST). No customer impact is expected.
We are closing in on completing our migration maintenance activities. The penultimate migration will occur at 0300 UTC, February 24 (2200 EST, February 23).
As before, a subset of customers will be moved during the maintenance. If you need to know if you're account will be moved, please contact us.
The window will open 0300 UTC, February 24 (2200 EST, February 23) and will remain open for three hours, closing at 0600 UTC (0100 EST). Individual customers will experience between 5 and 30 minutes of service interruption during this period. That interruption may occur at any time during the maintenance window.
Early this morning, our server monitoring processes alerted us to some timeouts connecting to the Fogbugz on Demand Infrastructure. We were also contacted by several customers who experienced slowness in connecting to FogBugz.
By the time we accessed the systems to determine what was going on, the problem had passed and there were no longer alerts or customer reports coming in.
The transient nature of this problem makes a deep investigation unlikely to yield profitable insights, but we are taking this opportunity to improve monitoring so that, should this happen again, we will have more information.
Tonight we will upgrade FogBugz On Demand to version 8.9.20. This upgrade does not include any features or bug fixes, but makes changes to the internal infrastructure to ease future deployments.
Customers should expect approximately 10 minutes of downtime beginning any time between 0300 and 0330 UTC (2200 and 2230 EST).
