Kiln On Demand Upgrades for Student & Startup Accounts

Beginning Monday, April 2, 2012, we'll be moving some Kiln On Demand accounts to a brand-new high-performance infrastructure. We'll be starting with all free Student & Startup accounts.

Moving your account should take less than 5 minutes, during which time your Kiln account will not be available. This will happen on a rolling basis throughout the week. In all likelihood, you'll only notice that Kiln gets faster.

We'll post more details here after the move is complete, and let our paying customers know when they'll be moved to the new infrastructure. Thanks in advance for your patience as we make Kiln better!

Infrastructure Maintenance on Sunday, 2012-04-01, at 04:00 GMT

This Sunday, between 04:00 and 08:00 GMT, we will be splitting our routers from our gateways to improve stability, fault-tolerance, and throughput. This window will involve a period of service blackout followed by some instability and intermittent service interruptions. We're doing everything we can to smooth the transition, but please be prepared for services to be unavailable for the duration of this maintenance.

 

FogBugz On Demand Upgrade on Sunday, 2012-04-01, at 03:00 GMT

At 03:00 Sunday morning (GMT) we will upgrade all accounts to FogBugz 8.8.15. This is a maintenance release that fixes an internal facing bug. 

No database upgrade is required, so the process should be very quick.

 

Trello was affected by a network event

Between 16:20 and 17:00 GMT today, Trello was intermittently unavailable due to a storm of unusual traffic that maxed out our gateway's state tables. After verifying that this wasn't a legitimate traffic spike, we tracked down and blocked the offending IPs. 

Sorry for the interruption! We're researching ways to mitigate the impact of such an event so, in the future, nobody will even notice.

At 03:00 Sunday morning (GMT) we will upgrade all accounts to FogBugz 8.8.13. This is a maintenance release that fixes an internal facing bug. 

No database upgrade is required, so the process should be very quick.

At 03:00 Sunday morning (GMT) we will upgrade all accounts to FogBugz 8.8.12. 

FogBugz release notes:

• Due date field is editable when sending, replying to, or forwarding email

• Fixed bug with saving in the screenshot tool

• Search now properly parses "Mon DD, YYYY" format date ranges

No database upgrade is required, so the process should be very quick.

FogBugz and Kiln Maintenance on Sunday, 2012-03-04, at 04:00 GMT

This Sunday, between 04:00 and 09:00 GMT, we will perform maintenance on our FogBugz and Kiln On Demand database servers. Both services will be unavailable for the duration of this maintenance.
