Brief Copilot Outage

UPDATE: Copilot service has been restored.

Copilot is currently unavailable and we have had to do an unplanned reboot of the Copilot web server in order to bring it back up. We will update the status blog once service has been restored.

 

FogBugz On Demand Upgrade on Sunday, 2012-02-26, at 03:00 GMT

At 03:00 Sunday morning (GMT) we will upgrade all accounts to FogBugz 8.8.9.

The FogBugz upgrade includes:

• Bug fix for "listScoutCase" api command
• New case creation on the mobile site no longer shows an error page
• Bug fixes for snippets
• New admin notification to indicate when cases are assigned to users who are unable to edit them
• Fixed a bug related to HTML bulk email replies which contained attachments added inline via the rich-text editor
• Removed a hidden "bulk email" interface which was no longer in use and had been replaced by the Bulk Reply and Bulk Edit interfaces implemented in FogBugz 7.3
• Fixed a category of search index corruption issues.  Corrupted search indexes will now attempt to automatically repair themselves and, in the vast majority of cases, will no longer become "stuck" and in need of manual intervention.  Other index corruption issues inherent to Lucene.NET still exist.
• Email addresses of existing FogBugz users will now display in yellow during email composition.  This is done to help teach new FogBugz users to use case assignment and notification rather than email for intra-team communication in FogBugz.
• Added a hidden configuration setting to restore BugzScout to its old behavior.  This was done to allow our users who had workflows dependant on the old behavior to be unaffected by the recent changes documented [in our blog](http://blog.fogcreek.com/better-bugzscout-error-reporting).  Please contact our support team if you'd like this setting enabled for your account.

  • Wiki Case Relations
  • Do Later
    • If the user specifies a valid action, valid date, but no time, use the start of the user's working day
    • Notify the user if input is not saved because data could not be validated
• Misc. minor bug and cosmetic fixes

The upgrade is expected to be quick but does include a minor database upgrade. If you run into the "We are upgrading your account" message tonight, give it just a minute or two and reload. The vast majority of you shouldn't even notice!

Maintenance Complete

Tonight's maintenance has been completed and all services are up.

Infrastructure and FogBugz Maintenance on Sunday, 2012-02-12, at 04:00 GMT

This Sunday, between 04:00 and 08:00 GMT, we will perform maintenance on our network infrastructure and migrate some FogBugz databases between servers. The infrastructure maintenance is expected to take no more than two hours, but will cause routing instability and service interruptions.

As usual, the FogBugz database moves are on a per-account basis and may occur at any time during the maintenance window.

Delays in Kiln repository creation have been resolved

Some customers may have experienced a brief delay in Kiln repository creation. The error did not impact any other Kiln functionality, and has been fixed.

Delays in Repository Creation for Kiln On Demand

Some accounts may be experiencing lengthy delays in the creation of new repositories on Kiln On Demand. We are actively investigating this issue and will post an update to status.fogcreek.com when it has been resolved.
