Google App Engine's new billing rates went into effect today, and WebPutty went over its budgeted quota at approximately 5:00pm EST. The outage was due to a combination of these new rates and our budgeted quotas, combined with a migration to prepare to move everyone's CSS to a CDN so that your website's CSS will no longer depend exclusively on WebPutty's Google App Engine account.
We were notified almost immediately, however, the billing changes unfortunately took some time to go into effect. As of 6:30pm EST servicee has been restored.
