Outage Resolving

This outage is nearing resolution. The SQL instance was brought back online just a few minutes after the issue began, but SQL is now running through and recovering all mounted databases. Given the number of databases on this server, it is taking some time to go through all of them. As soon as a database is recovered, its associated account should be accessible.

We will post another update when the recovery is complete.

Outage for Some On Demand Customers

One the SQL Server instances in our data-center shut down. This means that FogBugz and Kiln On Demand accounts hosted on that instance are temporarily unavailable. We are bringing the instance back up now and will post an update shortly.

Kiln On Demand Upgrade Tonight

We're going to begin posting the release notes for FogBugz and Kiln On Demand upgrades. This is part of our ongoing campaign for transparency in how we run and build our hosted products.

At 02:00 GMT tonight, we will upgrade Kiln On Demand from 2.5.119 to 2.5.124.

This is mostly a behind-the-scenes release. Changes include:

• A bug fix that makes it easier for customers who have left Kiln On Demand for a protracted period to reactivate their old account
• Improvements to caching behavior
• Enhancements to make it easier for Fog Creek to track down bugs in Kiln On Demand
• A performance tweak that should improve initial page loads on most Kiln pages

There will be no downtime for this upgrade.

Minor Issue: Edit Timesheet dialog comes up blank on case pages

A new version we rolled out last night caused a Javascript error with the Edit Timesheet dialog, but only when accessing it from a case page. We'll roll out a fix tonight. In the meantime, if you need to edit your timesheet, first press "List Cases" then you should be able to get the dialog.
